December 2021 - after a difficult year again, we just want to thank you all for your continued support of DanceMax! We really appreciate all the support and loyalty you parents and kids show us, and we love to spend our time with you enjoying and learning through dance.
Fingers crossed for a smooth and peaceful 2022 ... and lots more dancing to enjoy!
April 2021 - WE ARE BACK!
So happy to welcome you all back again to your regular classes. We are currently working through our waiting lists to fill up spaces in classes - please contact us sooner rather than later if you'd like to be added.
March 2021 - Good news we hope! We are finally allowed to plan a re-opening! We are tentatively planning to come back week beginning April 12th. We will be contacting all of our existing members in the next few weeks to re-allocate spaces in classes, and then will be able to offer any remaining places to new students. If you'd like to join us or get on the waiting list, please use the contact form on this webiste or drop us a message on Facebook. Someone will get back to you as soon as is possible!
We cannot wait to see you all!
Jan 2021 - Unfortunately our New Year has begun in the worst possible way! We are currently closed again due to government restrictions. We really hope it will not be long before we are allowed to reopen. Please everyone, stay safe and we will be back together dancing before we know it! Lots of love to you all.
Sept 2020 - we are back to dance after a long 20 weeks out of the studio! We are currently running double classes to accomodate all of our existing dancers into smaller groups so please note your timetable may have changed. We have many COVID-secure protocols and policies in place - all available to read and view at the studio. We hope there are no further restrictions on us being allowed to stay open and the children can get back to a small piece of normality within the studio. Please stick to the government guidelines and stay away from dance if you experience any symptoms of COVID-19 or if you are isolating from work/school. Stay safe everyone!
March 2020 - our exam session went amazingly well! We had 94 exams taken - 94 exams passed! A 100% pass rate and ALL candidates were marked above 90/100 which was fantastic! We are so overwhelmingly proud of our entire school, what a record to be proud of! We hope to have an exam presentation soon for the reports and medals to be handed out, and a big party!
In addition - Kirstin also undertook her Licentiate teaching exam which is a higher level qualification, and she also passed! 98/100 which was classed as an Honours with Distinction! This enables Kirstin to adjudicate at some of the country's top level Championship competitions. We are so proud!
Feb 2020 - We have just handed out details of our NDCTA (Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association) exam session. This will take place on Sunday 15th March! Please ask Kirstin or Dean for a leaflet with the information if you are interested.
Classes are well underway! We regret to inform you that the 2&3 years class is absolutely full and not accepting any new starters at the moment (Feb 2020). If you would like to contact us to be placed on the waiting list you are welcome to do so!
There are a few remaining spaces in our 4+ class and our pre-competition squad. Contact quickly for details!
